Zandra Austin is a highly qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). She also practices Time Limited Psychodynamic Therapy and is registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Additionally, Zandra is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).  Since earning her MSc in CBT and Counselling with distinction in 2021, Zandra has developed a diverse and extensive clinical practice.

Zandra has worked across multiple settings, including the NHS, private practice, and the charitable sector. Her comprehensive experience spans a broad spectrum of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, social anxiety, panic disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). She is adept at working with individuals from varied backgrounds and is passionately committed to promoting inclusivity and enhancing access to mental health services for all.

Her expertise extends to working with neurodiverse individuals, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Zandra's approach is informed by her strong belief in the importance of education for wellbeing. Before becoming a therapist, she spent 20 years in education, teaching A-level Psychology and serving as Head of Sixth Form, where she oversaw the academic and pastoral welfare of students aged 16-18. This background has equipped her with considerable understanding and expertise in working with young adults.

In addition to her therapeutic practice, Zandra has contributed to the field of mental health as a lecturer in CBT and Counselling at the University of Suffolk, sharing her knowledge and fostering the development of future therapists. She also provides supervision, both group and individual, for experienced practitioners and trainees, drawing on her rich clinical and educational background to support and guide other professionals in the field.

Zandra is committed to ongoing learning and continuous professional development. She undertakes a wide variety of courses through organizations such as the BABCP, BACP, and BPS on topics as diverse as menopause, neurodiversity, climate anxiety, and much more. This dedication to professional growth ensures that she remains at the forefront of her field, equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to support her clients effectively.

Furthermore, Zandra has experience working with organisations such as schools, where she delivers training in mental health and wellbeing. Her extensive teaching experience allows her to effectively communicate and engage with diverse audiences, enhancing mental health awareness and education in various settings.
